The stream is moving up and bringing the bluefin a little closer to Oregon Inlet. It was nice and calm today but the bite seemed a little slower overall. Our Nearshore boats all came in with limits of Stripers:Mr. Bill Craig and Mr. Richard Cannon had citations of Stripers. With the weather window that opened up, Capt. Chip Baker, Chris aka Demon, Mikey and I decided to head up to Hatteras Island in search of bluefin tuna on jigging and popping tackle. We did not expect it to be as wide open as it was. Both myself and Chip/Mikey had new equipment to test out, and this was the perfect opportunity.

Really great weather today, several boats fished catching and releasing a lot of Bluefin Tuna. One 165lb Tuna was brought back to the dock. BLUE FIN
One boat out of our fleet went fishing today. Six Bluefin Tuna were released and one brought to the dock with a weight of 170-175 pounds. Old man wind is going to cooperate with us for a few days.
