03-09-10 bluefin
The stream is moving up and bringing the bluefin a little closer to Oregon Inlet. It was nice and calm today but the bite seemed a little slower overall. The fish that did bite were a smaller class for the most part. We did catch two in the 160 pound range. Several 40 pounders were released. We also landed a citation size 29 pound blackfin tuna. Thanks…

Hatteras Bluefin March 7/8

With the weather window that opened up, Capt. Chip Baker, Chris aka Demon, Mikey and I decided to head up to Hatteras Island in search of bluefin tuna on jigging and popping tackle. We did not expect it to be as wide open as it was. Both myself and Chip/Mikey had new equipment to test out, and this was the perfect opportunity.

Spring Fishing Is Just Around the Corner

Hi Folks,
It has been a long and cold winter, but they say spring is less than 2 weeks away. Judging by today's weather and the temps forecast for the next week, maybe spring will arrive on time.Experience tells me that the fish seem to have a better understanding of when they should show up than the weather. So with that in mind it is certainly time to make…
